Weeeeeeeeeeeeeell.. It’s not really the come back I was planning on but I figured I might as well.

I’ve finally gotten my hands on some more origami paper so yey!

I’ve also made a mental list of origami projects I want to do while I serve out my week-long punishment (work-related. long stupid story) the week after next.

Anyway, even though I haven’t updated I kept on folding. :3 The box of origami paper you see in the 2nd picture isn’t mine. An office mate was given that and she asked me to make things for her and I’ve been doing just that.

No ideas yet for the next one but I have succeeded in replenishing my origami paper supply. Sadly, they weren’t selling fancy paper 千代紙 at Saizen, Robinson’s Ermita.

Cherry blossoms!　桜　「さくら」 Sakura!!!

For some weird reason, the Card Captor Sakura opening song started playing in my head. Oh geez.

Right!

This was a little confusing to figure out at first but got quite addictive to make as soon as I knew how to.

I did utilize a pair of scissors to make the sakura but make no mistake, one cherry blossom = 1 piece of paper. ^___^

I did not have brown paper to make branches with, so I skipped those altogether.

And now, the view of the left “wall” of my dinky station at the office. Yes, I work in a booth that often reminds me of computer shops here in the Philippines. Yes, that is a postcard of Mt. Fuji, 社長 (Shachou) gave me. And, yes, that right there is my horrifying attempt at drawing.

Right, I knew I said this would be daily but I admit, I got a tad lazy when work loomed over my head.

Yesterday at work, however, I went origami crazy. o__O

I kid you not.

I used up one pack of Chiyogami 「千代紙」. I wish I could say I turned every single piece of paper into a cute animal or some other thing but a good eighth of the lot turned into a sizable heap of crumpled paper. T____________T

All Scrunched Up All Tuckered Out

I was minding my own business at the office when I got hunted down by one of my superiors. I was busy so she sent me a message via Skype instead.

Her: Are you the one who makes Origami?

Me: (Even though I’m fairly sure I’m not the only one, I said…) Yes.

Her: How come only J got them?! (J happens to be one of my superiors as well.)

Me: (At this point, I was a bit beside myself.) I didn’t know you wanted one..?

By the time I was done making them and making the basket to put them in (because I couldn’t figure out how to attach the flower to the leafy base), she already went home.

I confirmed it with J who euh.. gushed? aww-ed at the Irises and said,

“Oh, don’t give that to her anymore. Give it to me instead.”
